Paul echoes the same thought -- “we are waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ” (Tit 2:13). An ongoing eager expectation that today might be the day of the Lord’s return, shows a person who is in real union with Christ, obedient to scripture, and ready to meet the Lord with joy.
